Project background
The First Level Response Operators are the frontrunners in the City of Cape Town in case of damage or problems in the network, for example leakages and customer complains. Most of the experienced officers are about to become retired. The City of Cape Town wants to train the next generation first level response officers and to provide a proper training for water reticulation for the experienced officers. The experienced staff of the water reticulation department takes part in the development of this training programme.
Results
World Water Academy (WWA) was requested to manage the course design and development. WWA designs the week programme and advises the staff on didactics and assessment dedicated to this specific target group. The programme will consist of four modules. The learning objectives, learning materials, handbook and assessment for the first module is finalised.
