Project background
Rand Water Academy set up a programme for change agents. The change agents –to be- had a BSC or MSc degree and attend a 2 years programme at Rand Water Academy. The programme is blended and activities like lectures, group work, exposure, field trip and internship are offered. World Water Academy offered a programme “Let’s train professionals better!”
Also future cooperation between the Dutch and South African water sectors in the field of capacity development was discussed
Results
The participants were exposed in the Netherlands to a Training of trainers programme and experienced how peer learning can work. They attended a practical course in wastewater treatment in Vereeniging and learned how to connect and inspire the audience.
